Did you know that Pinterest is good for much more than just planning your ultimate dream wedding or saving tasty recipes? That’s right, Pinterest can also be used for business! Essentially, Pinterest is a “visual discovery engine” that binds communities together based on interests rather than connections (Cario 2013, Pinterest 2022). However, when you create a business account, it becomes a platform that can help you reach a lot of people and potentially make a lot of money. Even if you are your own business, you can still earn money through the Pinterest creator hub and their new Creator Rewards program. The creator hub allows you to partner with brands and make your pins shoppable, while the Creator Rewards program pays creators based on their content (Pinterest Business, 2022). You can visit the Pinterest App to explore all the tools that come with the creator hub.
As of January 2022, Pinterest is ranked the 14th largest social network in the world (Hootsuite, 2022). Although it’s not as big as Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, it is still a highly recommended platform to advertise on.

I personally believe Pinterest is less stressful than Instagram when it comes to sharing photos.
Here is why I think that;
Pinterest allows you to include links within your posts for free. Instagram only allows this feature if you’re running a paid campaign / ad.
People aren’t as likely to comment on Pinterest posts, creating less room for negativity.
Pinterest is an inspiration app, making your pins more likely to reach the correct audience regardless of followers. Instagram is solely based off who follows you.
Pinterest is all about discovery and inspiration, Instagram tends to be all about the actual image itself, rather than the message being sent.
Whether your goal is awareness, consideration, conversions, or offline sales, Pinterest has you covered. This app is super user friendly by offering mobile creation, ads manager and business partners all at your fingertips (Pinterest, 2022). However, if you don’t know how to use ads manager, click here for the guide Pinterest has created to make it a bit easier. Pinterest also offers multiple precise targeting tools to guarantee your ads are seen by the right audience.
